Shared, connected and automated shuttles, (mini)buses and robotaxis complementing the public transport system are the next major trend in the urban mobility landscape. Like other new mobility services, they have the potential to reduce the number of car trips, but at the same time they could also disrupt local transport systems and challenge existing traffic regulations.

The EU-funded SHOW project – a large-scale demonstration project of automated transport services across 20 urban areas – has launched an online public survey to gather opinions from a variety of stakeholders on which regulatory aspects need to be considered to create a level playing field for transport operators and to ensure that shared, connected and automated transport services of the future will be deployed in a safe, inclusive, integrated and sustainable manner.

 

Interested stakeholders are invited to express their opinion via https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SHOW_CCAM until 31 October 2021. Filling out the survey will take approximately 15 minutes, if you are willing to participate in follow-up interviews you also have the possibility to include your contact details. The results from the survey will provide a basis for further stakeholder consultation and policy recommendations.
